Position Title & Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the content and business strategy of an established food site as well as influence the Mediavine research and development team that helps thousands of publisher partners build sustainable businesses.

Reporting to the Editorial Director, the Editor is accountable for managing Food Fanatic’s editorial calendar, tracking the performance of content, and optimizing traffic to maximize revenue growth and engagement.

They will recruit and manage a team of freelance writers in developing recipes and other food content, contribute to daily content production, and leverage technology to make the process as efficient and effective as possible.

Working closely with a product team dedicated to Mediavine’s owned and operated sites, the Editor will facilitate tests to improve our products, inform best practices for our publisher partners, and contribute to ongoing product innovation at Mediavine.

The Editor will bring a knowledge of the publishing industry and social platforms, an understanding of the benefits and risks of emerging technology such as generative AI, along with great instincts for what’s important to the general audience of a content-driven site for food fanatics.

Responsibilities

  • Own the editorial calendar and production process for Food Fanatic
  • Develop Food Fanatic into a best-in-class source of content ranging from written articles to photography, video, social media, and other visual content formats
  • Regularly create content
  • Manage, recruit, and maintain a small team of freelance writers, keeping them trained on best editorial and SEO practices
  • Manage and refine the content SEO workflow from story conception to production to post-publishing updates, collaborating with our team SEO Analyst on keyword research and strategy to identify the highest-impact content opportunities
  • Own and champion the Food Fanatic voice, manage editorial direction, and develop/maintain style guides for all visual and written content
  • Build a robust and lucrative product affiliate program
  • Grow the email subscriber base and support efforts to drive traffic through newsletters, alerts, and other channels
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices, with an eye toward improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our content operations
  • Ensure that LOE for content creation efforts leads to demonstrable results in service of our KPIs and organizational priorities
  • Manage Food Fanatic’s social media platforms, with help from tools and vendors
  • Manage tests related to content as needed in service of the development of Mediavine’s suite of products
  • Have the ability to travel for retreats

Requirements

You Have:

  • 5+ years managing content for a blog or online news publication
  • 5+ years writing for SEO and social media
  • Experience managing and producing social media content
  • Experience using data to inform content decisions
  • Experience managing a team of writers a plus

  • Experience and interest in using generative AI tools responsibly a plus

The Sage Group’s Client is seeking an Illustrator to join their diverse and vibrant internal agency at client, working with fellow creatives on a globally distributed team. This position is temporary with a duration of approximately 7 months.

As an illustrator on the Creative Team, accountability is just as important as creativity. We value empowerment and, in this spirit, you’ll be responsible for your own projects as a strategic partner for our cross-functional teams across the marketing, buyer experience, and product design organizations. An important part of this role is being a partner to the team’s large network of collaborators across the entire company.

On the first day, we’ll expect you to have a minimum of five years of professional experience, demonstrated with an exciting portfolio that highlights ambitious visual and conceptual problem-solving across marketing, editorial, and in-product scenarios.

A body of work that showcases projects that demonstrate familiarity with design systems, working within brand guidelines.

The ability to create documentation to aid in scaling illustration system and franchises.

Proven experience with editorial illustration and adjacent art styles like collage/mixed-media.

An ability to partner with graphic designers, product designers, and animators to extend illustration into many contexts, layouts and formats.

Surrounding team: Creative, about 60 people on the team.

Key project needs: Helping with executing illustrations for marketing editorial and in product situations, documenting guidelines for a brand refresh roll-out that impact illustration system, and supporting designers with both execution and feedback.

Typical Day in the Role

As an illustrator on the Creative Team, your primary responsibility will be partnering with other members of the team as well as cross-functional marketing and experience design partners. As a specialist within the Creative Team, you will be instrumental in producing meaningful, on-brand work to support every area of our business, both internal and customer-facing. You will be working closely with our Lead Illustrator to develop the Illustration Guidelines and build up an expansive and versatile library of illustrations. Together, you’ll drive and collaborate on projects to deliver impact and delight across every touch point. In addition, you will work closely with leadership on the team to continue to reinforce alignment and consistency of all projects across the business.

Unique selling points: exciting because in the midst of refreshing brand identity- will be part of the launch and will help execute.

It is a smaller sub-team, lots of peer feedback and opportunity to work across a lot of different projects.

About the Role:

Hims & Hers is seeking a highly talented Graphic Designer to join our studio team, reporting directly to our Creative Director. This role is both highly creative and technical working closely with the Art Directors, Motion Designers, Copywriters and Producers to develop high quality and creative content across multiple platforms including our app and YouTube. You have a comprehensive understanding of typographic layouts, composition, color theory and an eye for image curation. While this position has the option to be remote, the full Studio team is working in person a flexible few days per week from our brand new studio in Brooklyn, NY we would love to have you here!

You Will:

  • Work closely with our Art Directors to execute on high quality design and layouts for app content and motion graphic videos.
  • Leverage our existing brand guidelines and work closely with our brand and graphic designers to evolve ways in which we apply those guidelines to our design outputs.
  • Collaborate with our Copywriters to iterate on work and make sure that the assets clearly communicate the brief’s strategy both creatively and narratively.
  • Work closely with our Motion Designers to make sure that design work translates effectively through to video outputs. Iterate and problem solve to produce the best possible visual outcomes.
  • Help to establish templates and guidelines that can help us execute on certain work faster, while maintaining a high visual/design standard.
  • Stay up to date on the latest graphic design trends, always working to pull in relevant and fresh inspiration into the work you are executing on.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design
  • 4+ years of experience working on a fast-paced creative team or agency
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of design projects, demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail
  • Extensive experience in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
