Title: Sr. Consultant – Network and Edge Security – Palo Alto Networks | Remote, USA

This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S.

A Consultant must be a proven self-starter with the ability to problem-solve, communicate, participate in diverse project teams from a technical perspective, and interface effectively with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues. Establish & maintain productive and respectful relationships with the delivery team, practice management, and client management team.

You will actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives. Deliver timely engagements and works closely with Practice Directors to drive training and education, career development, performance development, and collaboration across the team.

How you will make an impact:

  • Comfortably delivers solo-based work or act as “point” for complex projects
  • Acts as technical escalation point to assist other consultants.
  • Leads solution architecture, capacity planning and HW specification recommendation efforts.
  • Leads all Palo Alto Network and Edge Security deployment activities and third-party system integration.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing and bug-related engineering efforts.
  • Design and implement on specific technology build processes, code migration, and source control use.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and post production support activities as necessary.
  • Effective team communicator.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional associations such as ISACA, CSA, etc.
  • Obtain and maintain top tier vendor certification.
  • Complete administrative project tasks like time and expense entry, status reporting, and project completion reporting.
  • Acts as contributor in Optiv communities for solutions of focus.

What we’re looking for:

  • Hands-on experience implementing Palo Alto NGFW, VM-Series, Prisma Access
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud providers specifically AWS, Azure and optionally GCP
  • Experience with advanced private cloud and micro segmentation
  • Experience with container network and runtime security (CN-Series) is a plus, though not required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto
  • Minimum 2-4 years of professional Information Security experience in a consulting, vendor or enterprise-level role.
  • Minimum Palo Alto Certification Level PCNSE or PCSFE
  • PCNSC is highly desired
  • InfoSec/Cyber implementation experience
  • Fully qualified/certified on 1 or more technologies 
  • Experience in a customer facing/consulting capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to lead junior consulting professionals
  • Remote with ability to travel to meet client needs

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with other state and local tax matters, is a plus
  • This position has the ability to work remote
  • CPA, CMI, JD, or LLM nice to have, but not required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and tax research tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build a compelling Commerce Feature roadmap that aligns with the franchise vision, business goals, and details a clear relationship with all areas of design
  • Drive, coordinate, empower, and unblock Commerce & Rewards and partner teams
  • Relentlessly build alignment between creative and executional leaders
  • Ensure the Commerce & Rewards team’s work is achievable by guiding them to appropriately adjust scope based on technical realities
  • Work closely with the Domain and Marathon Leadership Teams to set guidelines for implementation of the Marathon IP via the extraction shooter genre
  • Support the work of cross-discipline teams to understand and execute on what is best for the game
  • Maintain Marathon IP quality, design craft excellence, and consistency
  • Collaborate with PM to prepare effective in-game product marketing plans
  • Lead the communication and “why” behind design decisions
  • Own features and development of design decisions with partner teams

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Experience executing monetization pillars and systems in an extraction genre
  • Previous experience as a design lead or above focused on monetization for a large-scale, multiplatform, live-service game
  • Experience designing, documenting, and building Commerce & Rewards systems, like MTX, Battle Passes, Storefronts
  • Intuitive understanding of what engages players and what brings them value and excitement in a complicated challenge space
  • Excitement for collaboration with designers, artists, programmers, audio professionals, quality assurance and producers to achieve a common goal, no matter where they are
  • Ability to creatively align with the team and then build alignment with the greater Marathon team
  • Social intelligence, great interpersonal skills, and empathy for creative teams

About the Role

The Lead Designer will report to our Head of Product Design and play a role in the conceptualization, design, and development of brand campaigns, concepts and assets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and review marketing design projects, from conception to delivery
  • Review junior designers’ work to ensure high quality
  • Communicate strategy and concepts with c-suite and execs
  • Produce breakthrough designs for a variety of media: presentation decks, digital ads, social media graphics, blogs, infographics, email campaigns, website graphics, etc.

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite; Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
