This AVP will lead the development and the life cycle management of our consumer bank and credit servicing applications by creating and developing thoughtful solutions to anticipate bugs and maintain operational excellence. In short, you would be one of our technical experts and team leaders.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Influence many agile development teams through all phases of the Agile development life cycle through SAFe
- Implement new technologies and assist developers as they migrate to new technologies
- Architect applications across the full stack, experience in PCF, Cloud Native Application Architecture, Microservices ecosystem, J2EE, Spring Java, and RESTful API’s are a must.
- Design data models to support complex business processes
- Drive a CI/CD strategy using our Jenkins, Bitbucket, and uDeploy stack.
- Influence and collaborate with software developers, UX designers, product managers, application architects, and customer application experts to create amazing apps.
- Mentor and influence all levels of the team: in this role, you will have the opportunity to influence up and down the chain of command
- Ensure compliance with architecture, security and technology standards set by Synchrony
- Assist in crafting and maintaining the future state technology architectural strategy, along with our application modernization and migration roadmap.
- Participate in Agile scrums consisting of cross-functional teams
- Lead Agile sprints as the technical expert, including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming sessions, and sprint reviews
- Ensure application code quality through development, test, and QA
- Participate in addressing root cause analyses, incident reports and provide direction in problem resolution
- Ability to analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, and implement fixes

- Provide 24×7 on-call support periodically throughout the year

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 5 years of experience with software engineering OR, in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED 7 years of experience with software engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of application development experience.
- Spring Boot and Spring Cloud development background.

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 – 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Position Overview
The Sr. Manager, UX Design Medical Device will be responsible to work closely with cross-functional members of the development and planning teams to ensure a world-class user experience is designed for while ensuring a scalable, global implementation to meet future business needs.
Responsibilities
- Reduce complexity in our designs, our deliverables, and our collaborations. Responsible for driving process improvement for design within the teams.
- Manage a team of UX design leads and designers, focused on digital products. Including hiring, developing, coaching, and upskilling the team. Build a strong team of designers that can work independently on programs in a SAFe agile environment, with coaching. Direct responsibility for approximately 10+ designers on the team. Manage designers on complex software releases on multiple platforms and programs.
- Manage in a complex environment from innovation to more tactical programs, lead the team through ambiguity to drive clarity for the design team.
- Responsible for demand planning and resourcing to meet program and department strategic goals.
- Build and manage a large UX design team focused on med device design working in a SAFe agile development environment with multiple releases and partner integrations. Prioritizes the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities.
