About the Role
Title: Senior Revenue Project Manager
Location: United States, Remote
Job Description:
Human Interest is on a mission to ensure that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits.
Nearly half of all working Americans are not saving enough for their future. Too often it’s because they are employed by a company that doesn’t offer a retirement plan. Human Interest is changing that by making it affordable and accessible for small and medium-sized businesses to offer employees a path to financial independence through retirement savings.
We’re a high-growth tech company changing the retirement industry. We’ve raised more than $700M in primary and secondary financings and are backed by a number of investors. Most recently, this includes funding from Marshall Wace and Baillie Gifford, as well as top investors such as BlackRock, TPG (The Rise Fund), SoftBank, Glynn Capital, NewView Capital, USVP, Wing, Uncork, and more.
About the role
We seek a proactive, adaptable, and self-starting Senior Revenue Project Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional, and technology projects and programs within the Revenue organization. The ideal candidate should be able to scope and create project plans for large cross-functional initiatives, develop processes, coordinate and drive execution, provide quality control to meet goals, communicate status and blockers to senior management, and document process/product changes. Reporting to the Director, Revenue Programs, this role will own the strategy and implementation of high-level initiatives that enable our business to exceed growth targets and expand faster. Oh, and as we go 24,791 mph, you should be comfortable with speed and change.
What you get to do every day
- Manage a portfolio of complex, often technical initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business, ensuring we meet our outcomes. These are often revenue-driven initiatives.
- Serve as the SME for project management best practices and contribute to the growth of the team/task force.
- Lead project teams by defining clear project plans, driving project-specific meetings, setting realistic expectations, tactically guiding teams in and outside of your department to deliver project goals, and adhering to project scope and timeline.
- Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind leadership decisions.
- Apply analytical and critical thinking to proactively solve for the unknown and mitigate risks with speed without compromising quality (before they become roadblocks).
- Own the entire project life cycle: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
- Create and maintain project documentation and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure documentation is up-to-date while enforcing procedures.
- Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects; provide the path forward to address areas of concern and collaborate towards a solution.
- Work cross-functionally to identify gaps between teams, processes, and systems, help teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood or documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, long-term impact(s) from third-party solutions, security not considered, insufficient stakeholder review, etc.) and have a strong bias for action.
- Create executive status reports around your projects and lead cross-functional meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by the business.
What you bring to the role
- 7+ years of proven experience in a project or program management role
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field
- Excellent organizational, project, and time management skills; can juggle and prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines and stakeholders without dropping the ball
- Proven track record of utilizing Agile Methodology successfully, as well as working with large sets of data and using metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, partnering with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to complete project milestones, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Ability to dive deep and fully understand the project, in order to make informed decisions.
- Interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills with adaptability to meet changing demands
- Strong ability in leading virtual planning and project meetings with colleagues of varying leadership levels to attain stakeholder buy-in to move a project forward
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to streamline and explain complex issues to gain understanding and alignment
- Expert with Smartsheet or similar project management software
- Expert in the use of Google Suite and MS Office Suite applications and proficient in utilizing web-based tools (i.e., Zoom, GoogleMeet, MS Teams)
- Meticulous attention to detail – rarely making typos and noticing discrepancies that others would miss
- A self-starting attitude and desire to learn new programs and systems and widen your knowledge base about the retirement industry and our product
