The Graphic Designer will have the opportunity to further elevate JFF’s brand by acting as an ambassador, providing strategic thought-partnership on design and account support to internal stakeholders and business partners, while producing high-quality work consistent with JFF’s brand guidelines.

Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing, the Senior Graphic Designer will consult, direct, liaise and partneron design projects with all JFF teams, JFF’s executive leadership & external business partners to deliverbest-in-class collateral both static and dynamic. Also, the Senior Graphic Designerwill ensurethat ourcollateral(print, video, digital, etc.)support and advance thegoals of JFF’s mission and brand while working in close collaboration with our in-house Graphic Designers to help create innovative and engaging design solutions.

What you’ll do:

Production Design and Project Management

  • Design and produce a high volume of content for myriad internal clients which will be seen and leveraged by thousands of external stakeholders to advance JFF’s mission and strategicpriorities
  • Collaborate with program and communications teams to support the development ofcreative content forvariousinitiatives, including publications,reports, policy briefs,infographics,social media graphics,email and landing page content,events collateral, andmore.
  • Oversee production workflow for creative design team, including oversight of assignments to junior designers, leading design reviews as well as innovation brainstorming, and ensuring design quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality design products
  • Design and update templates for digital content, collateral, presentations, and email
  • Collaborate across various internal teams in an adaptive environment, acting as a partner, consultant, and executor on creative vision, design, andexecution
  • Coordinate with outside design firms and freelancers to support on-time and on-budget delivery ofprojects

Strategic Design Consultation

  • Partner strategically with our marketingand communicationsteam in leadingour design thinking and contribute to executing and innovating ourprint anddigital strategy across theorganization
  • Support the development of the Executive team’s communications materials, e.g. PowerPoint presentations, graphics, fundercollateral

BrandManagement

  • Contribute as the expert and internal influencer onprint anddigital marketing trends
  • Work collaboratively with JFF’s editorialand creative servicesteam to ensurebranding,messaging,and style guidelinealignment
  • Collaborate with other Design team colleagues/resources to implement ongoing organizational training on how to leverage our brand effectively
  • Use your excellent design skills and your understanding of creative integrity to reinforce JFF’s brand at every point of contact and bring fresh direction and insight to the team while maintaining defined designstandards

Who you are:

  • You possess high energy and passion for JFF’s mission and the ability to apply JFF’s corevalues to all areas of your work
  • You have approximately 5-7 years of overall experience and have previously worked in a creative digital design role or a related role in which you have worked on a design team and influenced design vision and execution; interactive design experience is a strong plus
  • You are excited to perform hands-on design production tasks as well as coordination of design tasks with an ever-evolving brand and familiarity with Digital Asset ManagementSystemsand Project Management Systems
  • You have experience using digital marketing solutions and content management systems such as HubSpot and have familiarity within HTML and CSS
  • You have experience using Adobe’s Creative Cloud apps (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator) and Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); experience with video production or animation is a plus
  • You have experience designing ADA compliance/accessibility designs across both print and digital media
  • You have a strong understanding of design principles and typography and have experience designing social cards, email assets, web graphics and publication templates
  • You are detail oriented, an excellent problem solver and have strong organizational skills with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • You are a flexible self-starter with the ability to seamlessly pivot between being an individual contributor and working in close collaboration with teammates and cross-functional stakeholders; you know when to pull in others for their expertise and how to manage up and across in order to complete projects with competing deadlines
  • You enjoy leading creative design projects while coaching and supporting the development of junior designers within your team
  • You have experience creating designs to promote events (virtually and in person)

About the role

Our Design team is looking for a Product Designer to grow the adoption and feature set of our new Voice product at Podium. 100k+ local businesses use Podium to interact with their customers via messaging, phone calls, payments, and marketing tools. As a result, Podium has immense context about the relationship between local businesses and their customers. We are using this context to help local businesses win by operating more efficiently and providing end consumers with better experiences.

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll partner closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build and ship creative solutions and experiences to customers running small businesses all over the world. You’ll design workflows, interactions, prototypes, and visuals that are thoughtful and practical, leading to a direct impact on Podium, our customers, and their customers.

What you will do

  • Work with the other members of the Communications Design Team (including Voice-specific individuals) and be responsible for the design of end-to-end features and growth efforts for Voice as well as help with other product areas leading to business impact for Podium and our customers. (This includes product areas such as payments, foundational messaging features, mobile, and more.)
  • Develop, maintain, evolve, and design within style standards (spanning desktop and mobile), with an eye towards efficiency and a consistent user experience.
  • Conduct user research to understand our customers and their needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Engineering partners representing design at Podium, providing and seeking feedback, and participating in feature prioritization and planning.
  • Seek out feedback from peers, executives, and customers and apply what you learn to elevate your design solutions.
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing of design candidates to help build an excellent Product Design team.

About you

  • You’re an excellent facilitator and are comfortable leading teams through ideation, research, and the natural ambiguity that occurs when defining new features.
  • You have an excellent portfolio showcasing a strong foundation in typography, interaction design, and visual design.
  • You have case studies that demonstrate your ability to design solutions that meet user needs, product requirements, and business goals across mobile, web, and desktop applications.
  • You have experience in product design organizations and working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to develop strategy and rationale for new features and product directions.
  • You have excellent written and verbal skills. You clearly explain design decisions and rationale grounded in design and usability principles, even to team members who don’t share your background.
  • Understanding of technical constraints and effectively balancing quality and speed.
  • Nice to have: Previous experience designing for Voice related products.

As a Product Manager in the Trust & Safety team, you will identify customer pain points, business opportunities, and define/deliver the products that help us create a safe and trusted community around the world. How We’ll Take Care of You:

The starting base pay for this role is between $180,000 and $230,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
