What You’ll Do

  • Code! You’ll design and code innovative, scalable, and fault-tolerant features
  • Teach. Provide technical guidance and mentorship in software engineering best practices while demonstrating these as an individual contributor
  • Collaborate. Work closely with small, nimble, cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, designers, and business teams.
  • Contribute. Participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle, from ideation to release to measurement and iteration (sometimes in a leadership role).

What You Bring To Engineering Team

  • 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with some leadership or mentorship experience.
  • Strong teamwork skills; you love participating with high-performing teams of engineers.
  • Customer-centricity and product focus. You look at everything you create through the lens of how it improves things for the end-customer. You are comfortable communicating how various technical approaches might impact product behavior (and vice versa).
  • Competency with data structures, algorithms, software design, and cloud architectures.
  • Willingness to work across the development stack. You should be able to work on the front-end, backend and platform with varying degrees of proficiency.
  • Technical acumen. Our product is built on a lot of incredible technologies like React, Node, Typescript, Go, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Redis, Postgres, ElasticSearch, and Twilio. You know a thing or two about some of these, and you’re confident you can work with them comfortably after some on-boarding and a bit of practice.

Purpose

Develops, implements, and supports Genesys Cloud Self Service IVR, Bot Flow, Scripting, Email, Chat, Campaigns and handle day-to-day requirements for Genesys Cloud Development (non ACD). Meet and exceed all aspects of client needs and requirements according to policies and procedures.

  • Designs & Develops Genesys Cloud self-service DTMF, ASR & NLU applications
  • Maintains add-on applications & API services
  • Analyzes business requirements. Designs, develops, tests, deploys and monitors Genesys Cloud applications
  • Collaborates with End users and other IT team members to understand business requirements and drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Concentrates on providing innovative solutions to business needs
  • Drives the requirements using input documents such as: Meetings, BRD, Jira, & Service Now ticketing system
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation (call flows, scripting, Integration & training docs)
  • Stays updated with latest Genesys Cloud announcements, releases & features

  • 4+ years of experience in design and development of:
  • Genesys Cloud self-service IVR (Non-ACD) Flows
  • Genesys Scripting
  • ASR
  • NLU
  • AI Bot Flows
  • Kore.ai and/or Cognigy integration experience would be preferred
  • Cloud Dialer Campaigns
  • In-queue Flows
  • Email integration experience
  • Hands on ability to troubleshoot, fix and track Genesys Cloud IVR/Scripting/UI issues
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Strong hands-on experience for technologies such as RESTful API, JSON, SQL is preferred
  • Experience in integration with connectors for SalesForce and Oracle is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field is required
  • Certification in Genesys Cloud is required
  • US citizen or Green Card holder.

This key role provides guidance, mentorship, and technical review of work completed by junior level staff.   • Professional Engineer License (PE) required
