Actian is a seeking an entry-level Associate Project Manager for a newly established global PMO function to support various cross-functional projects and initiatives across the enterprise. The individual will be assisting the Sr. Program Manager (SPM) in managing various project management tasks as well as in leading several entry-level projects.
Work Environment
This position is 100% remote within continental US with occasional opportunities for travel, which are optional. This fast-paced high-tech environment is perfect for individuals seeking to exercise innovation and out of the box thinking to move our state-of-the-art technology to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, including schedules, resource requirements, risk management planning, internal and external dependencies.
- Lead and facilitate project meetings, team coordination, issue resolution, action item tracking, etc.
- Work within a fast-pace Agile environment to manage and track status of assigned projects.
Requirements
- Comfortable working with individuals on different teams to establish and/or streamline processes with a goal of simultaneously improving quality, project deliverables and schedules.
- Experience with collaboration tools, such as Office 365 or Slack/Zoom. Some knowledge of Jira and Confluence highly desirable.
- Passionate about the challenges of understanding how highly complex, massively parallel processing systems behave.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate in a concise, clear and actionable manner.
- Positive attitude and intellectual curiosity are must.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business discipline or 2 to 3 years of project management experience.
- Must be able to complete detailed work, have good organizational skills, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a track record of producing results in a team environment.
