Job Summary:
Land and Air Defense Systems, a Strategic Business Unit of Raytheon, is seeking an Associate Director of Business Development to be an integral member of the Requirements and Capabilities team focused on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) international pursuits.
We develop new business initiatives through customer first engagements to define requirements that meet their needs and drive the capture and proposal process to contract awards.
This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Shape and align customer requirements and desired capabilities, develop winning pricing approach, matriculate the opportunities through proposal review while ensuring capture process compliance
- Coordinate and lead a capture team of matrixed teammates providing influential leadership and guidance throughout the proposal process
- Grow pipeline opportunities with Raytheon capability packages and integrated solutions; potential annual growth up to $1.5B
- Develop strategic relationships that create new opportunities with Raytheon, primarily as sole source
- Develop and implement MENA country strategies that anticipate customer capability demands
- International travel – 10%
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience
- 2+ years Capture Management or Requirements Development experience and leading multi-functional capture and proposal teams
- Experience with winning strategic captures valued over $500M
- Experience in Middle East & North Africa developing relationships with International customers
- Active DoD Secret clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Former / retired military with exceptional knowledge of maneuver warfare and IAMD in MENA
- Deep knowledge of Multi-Domain technologies focused on land warfare and air defense capabilities
- Experience with capture and proposal organizations, processes, best practices and deliverables
- Expertise in current US Government acquisition approaches for FMS/DCS
- Experience in CONOPS development using modeling and simulation to shape customer requirements
