The Role

As an Associate DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our infrastructure. You will work closely with product teams to develop and enhance test automation pipelines, advocate for DevOps best practices, and ensure our systems are robust and scalable. Your typical time-in-role is less than two years, during which you’ll establish yourself as a vital team member and expand your expertise in DevOps.

What You’ll Do

  • Infrastructure Design & Testing: Contribute to the design and testing of our build and deployment infrastructure, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Support product teams in designing and developing test automation pipelines as part of the CI/CD process, leveraging your C# coding skills.
  • Multiplatform Automation: Develop and maintain multiplatform automation tools using C#, enhancing the efficiency and scalability of our systems.
  • DevOps Advocacy: Promote the DevOps mindset within product teams, emphasizing collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Identify and resolve issues, ensuring the stability and performance of our systems.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement and follow established engineering best practices, including pull request guidelines and the SDLC.
  • Process Optimization: Optimize operational metrics and maintain comprehensive documentation to drive efficiency and collaboration.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and train new team members, sharing your knowledge of infrastructure, services, security, and coding practices.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Address roadblocks and escalate issues when necessary, aligning your work with broader organizational goals.

What You’ll Bring

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a DevOps or related role, with a solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in C# and experience with CI/CD processes, test automation, and modern DevOps tools (Jira / Confluence / Artifiactory / GitHub)
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve fundamental issues.
  • Security Awareness: A keen understanding of security best practices and the importance of protecting against vulnerabilities.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to mentor and guide peers.
