Position Description:
CGI is seeking an Agile Tester tjoin our team!
You will be joining and contributing ta dynamic and determined team that will be assisting a local Northern California public sector client tsuccessfully transform how they provide services ttheir respective clients.
This digital transformation initiative will involve close collaboration with the client tarchitect, design, and develop a secure, user-centric, and mission-critical solution that will involve multiple teams that are organized tmeet the client’s needs through a fast-paced agile development approach. This initiative will have a lasting positive impact on enhancing the citizen experience.
You will have the opportunity tcollaborate with colleagues in different groups thelp in the development of this solution. This critical client initiative must integrate several complex components using modern and disparate technologies.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- You will assist in testing of an expansive solution trealize our client’s transformative vision!
- You will work on testing nearly all aspects of the solution and work closely with many internal and external groups within an agile development environment.
- Collaborate with different teams in an agile development, consisting of CGI peers and client participants.
- Requires ability tunderstand business requirements, develop, document, execute test scenarios, and input defects found.
Required qualifications tbe successful in this role:
- Ability twork closely with client for requirements analysis, development of features, stories, and test scripts
- Experience in the creation of test plans, test scenarios/cases
- Experience in writing and SQLs and setting up data
- Experience in defect management and triage processes
- Experience in the creation and update of online user procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills:
- Ability tpresent tdifferent levels of client stakeholders
- Experience in effective business writing tproduce high-quality, client-facing documents
- Experience contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
Hands on experience successfully leveraging the following processes and tools:
- Application of Agile, PMI and/or ITIL management principles
- JIRA or other Agile management tool
- Manual Testing for large and complex systems.
- Automated Testing tools (Unified Functional Testing)
- Mobile Testing tools (Amazon Device Farm)
- Application Lifecycle Management ALM
- Experience with Web Services / API testing
- Test-driven development (TDD), acceptance test-driven development (ATDD), and behavioral-driven development (BDD)
- Feature Driven Testing
- Detail oriented with a commitment tproducing high quality work
- Self-motivated with excellent planning experience that can work well independently and within a team environment
Skill Set/Years of Experience:
- Testing of IT Applications – 5+ Years
- Creating and executing Test Scenarios for IT Applications – 5+ Years
- Full Software Development Life Cycle – 5+ Years
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- Hands-on experience in the following areas:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills:
- Ability tpresent tdifferent levels of client stakeholders
- Experience in effective business writing tproduce high-quality, client-facing documents
- Solid skills in MS Office, specifically Word and Excel
Skill Set/Years of Experience:
- Knowledge of JIRA – Any
- Using JIRA for requirement and design creation and repository a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile / DevOps environment – 2+ Years
- Any is a plus
- SQL Query Creation – 2+ Years
- Creating SQL queries for data creation and management
- Defect tracking software and processes – 2+ Years
- HP ALM or any product is a plus
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Est. Salary Range (ColoradOnly): $59K-$110K*
