  • Salary range: $92,050 – $121,825 annually (commensurate with experience and location)

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the technical approach on WordPress projects, ensuring quality and alignment with client needs
  • Collaborate with UX, design, and project management during discovery and planning
  • Build and configure WordPress sites using modern practices
  • Develop custom themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks with React
  • Provide architectural guidance, technical documentation, and mentoring for developers
  • Write, review, and maintain high-quality code
  • Participate in client meetings to clarify requirements and solve technical challenges
  • Manage technical team workload across the project lifecycle

What You Need

  • 8+ years of professional WordPress experience
  • Deep expertise in WordPress architecture, custom themes, plugins, and FSE (full-site editing)
  • Skilled in React, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL
  • Proficiency with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), CPTs, taxonomies, and REST API integrations
  • Familiarity with tools like GitHub, Docker, CLI, and modern deployment workflows
  • Strong documentation and technical specification skills
  • Experience mentoring or leading developers, especially in distributed teams
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate clearly with stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in a remote agency environment
  • Familiarity with performance optimization, accessibility, and web standards
  • Next.js knowledge a plus
