What You’ll Do
- Develop and support custom WordPress sites, themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks (React/ACF)
- Build templates and patterns for Full Site Editing (FSE)
- Write clean, maintainable PHP, JavaScript, and CSS/Sass
- Configure and update WordPress environments, triage technical issues, and provide support
- Use modern workflows including Composer, Docker, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to shared libraries, and maintain documentation
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and technical leads to deliver client solutions
- Prioritize tasks across multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards
What You Need
- 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience
- Strong skills in custom themes, plugins, Gutenberg block development, and FSE
- Proficiency in React, PHP, and SQL (Next.js or headless WordPress a plus)
- Familiarity with REST API, CPTs, taxonomies, and modern WordPress architecture
- Experience with performance, security, accessibility (WCAG 2.2), and SEO best practices
- Knowledge of workflows with Git, Composer, Docker, CI/CD, and multi-environment setups
- Experience with hosting environments like WordPress VIP, WPEngine, or Pantheon
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a digital agency or multi-client setting
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $66,100 – $81,439 (commensurate with experience and location)
