Schedule
- Temporary, part-time (20 hrs/week) for ~6 months (180 days)
- Remote within the United States
- Hired via staffing partner (HR Options)
- Pay: $38.46–$48.08 per hour

What You’ll Do
- Design and develop custom WordPress themes from scratch
- Build custom plugins to extend platform functionality
- Convert design mockups into responsive, accessible, SEO-ready themes
- Optimize performance and page speed; uphold security best practices
- Troubleshoot/debug existing sites; ensure cross-browser compatibility
- Maintain and update WordPress core, themes, and plugins
- Implement and document clean, standards-compliant code
What You Need
- 3+ years of professional WordPress development
- Strong proficiency: PHP, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, MySQL
- Hands-on: Theme + Plugin development, ACF, custom post types/taxonomies, REST API, Git, responsive design, cross-browser testing
- Solid grasp of WordPress coding standards, web security, SEO, and page speed optimization
- Sharp problem-solving, clear communication, design/UX sensibility
- Organized, self-directed, able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
Bonus Points
- Sass/LESS; modern JS frameworks (React, Vue)
- Build tools (Gulp, Webpack)
- WordPress Multisite
- Portfolio of custom WP projects; open-source/WordPress community contributions
- PERL/ModPERL familiarity
