- Full-time role within the Digital Development team
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain front-end features in a React-based CMS for Gray Media news stations
- Develop and manage CMS workflows and back-end functionality supporting hundreds of websites
- Create and maintain data feeds (RSS, JSON) for platform integrations
- Integrate features and services using REST-based APIs
- Provide internal CMS support and guidance to publishing teams
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning
- Stay current on industry trends, standards, and best practices
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Proficiency with React.js and state management (Redux, MobX, Context API)
- Experience with version control systems (Git preferred)
- Familiarity with build tools/bundlers such as Webpack
- Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript
Preferred Experience
- Testing frameworks (Mocha, Karma, Jest, Chai)
- Frameworks/libraries (Bootstrap, SASS/SCSS/LESS, Node.js, PHP)
- HTTP request tools (Axios, SuperAgent, Fetch API)
- Command-line development and troubleshooting
- Performance monitoring/optimization tools (Lighthouse, browser dev tools)
