Schedule
- Full-time, fully remote with occasional on-site meetings in Richmond, VA
- Candidates within a 2-hour drive of Richmond preferred
- Flexible schedules supported with required overlap for team collaboration
What You’ll Do
- Lead UX design on projects, from discovery to delivery
- Conduct user research, contextual inquiries, and usability testing
- Create wireframes, user journeys, service blueprints, and other UX artifacts
- Develop flows, workflows, and interactions for custom web applications
- Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and teammates
- Advocate for user-centered design and align business goals with end-user needs
- Provide feedback to peers and mentor less experienced designers
What You Need
- 4–10 years of professional UX design experience
- Experience leading UX for custom software (complex web apps strongly preferred)
- Proficiency with Figma (Sketch, Adobe Suite, InVision acceptable)
- Experience with contextual inquiry, usability testing, and design research methods
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to simplify solutions, manage deadlines, and work collaboratively
- Eagerness to learn Object Oriented User Experience (OOUX) principles
