What You’ll Do
- Develop, enhance, and maintain existing and new applications (planning, design, coding, unit testing, and documentation)
- Prepare deployment components, participate in code reviews, and help deploy to higher environments
- Review current functionality and recommend improvements to systems and processes
- Collaborate with clients on requirements, analysis, and effort estimates
- Migrate code to newer Linux/Red Hat and UniVerse versions in new environments
- Integrate applications with external systems and support automated processes (transactions, interfaces, etc.)
- Troubleshoot production incidents and resolve performance issues
- Conduct post-deployment reviews, identify root causes, and help prevent repeat defects
What You Need
- 5+ years of total work experience
- Strong Pick Basic programming skills (deep knowledge required)
- Strong Rocket UniVerse experience
- Experience with Unidata or equivalent multi-value database systems
- Strong research and debugging skills to resolve application issues
- Ability to document code and processes clearly
- Ability to analyze workflows and how dependent processes interact
