If you’re the kind of engineer who likes making messy systems talk to each other cleanly, this role is your lane. You’ll build and maintain integrations across a BPaaS platform using Python and enterprise integration tools, with real compliance and scale requirements baked in.
About Firstsource
Firstsource is a global business process management partner that supports large-scale, regulated operations, including healthcare. Their BPaaS technology team designs platforms that connect core systems, middleware, ETL pipelines, and partner/customer environments. This role helps keep the data flowing accurately, securely, and reliably.
Schedule
- Remote, work from home
- Full-time
- Cross-functional delivery environment (architecture, QA, business analysts, operations)
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations across BPaaS platforms (claims, billing, clinical, member/provider systems)
- Build reusable Python applications for data transformation, workflow automation, and integration pipelines
- Configure and manage integrations using OnBase middleware or comparable tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Talend, SnapLogic)
- Support ETL processes and ensure accurate extraction, transformation, and load into target systems
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, and technical documentation
- Troubleshoot and optimize integrations for performance, resilience, and maintainability
- Ensure integrations meet security standards and compliance requirements (HIPAA/SOC2 and governance policies)
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices for coding and integration management
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of software development and system integration experience
- Strong Python expertise (automation, APIs, scripting, data transformation)
- Hands-on experience with Edifecs middleware or similar ETL/integration tools
- Experience designing/consuming REST and SOAP APIs
- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and file-based integrations (SFTP, flat files, JSON, XML)
- Strong database skills (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar)
- Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and hybrid integration patterns
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills
Benefits
- Remote work environment
- Senior-level integration ownership across enterprise systems
- Opportunity to work in regulated, high-impact environments (healthcare/financial services)
- Mentorship and technical leadership scope
This is a real senior seat. If someone can’t talk comfortably about APIs, queues, ETL, and Python automation in the same breath, they’ll struggle. If they can, this is a strong platform role.
Make the systems behave.
