What You’ll Do
• Lead engineering efforts to deliver and improve storage solutions across object and block storage platforms
• Help replace the Ceph RGW index with a new indexing approach designed for higher scale and broader S3 compatible persistence layers
• Build and operate distributed systems that support block volumes, backups, image management, and object storage
• Develop in Go (and other languages as needed) using modern engineering practices
• Debug complex performance and reliability issues in production cloud environments
• Contribute to and consume open source software, collaborating with the broader community
What You Need
• Strong knowledge of object storage and distributed file systems, including how to scale them
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying software in modern languages, with Go strongly preferred
• Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, reliability, and operational excellence
• Comfort with concurrency and parallelism models in a modern programming language
• Ability to collaborate closely with peers and take shared ownership of product availability and performance
