What You’ll Do
- Lead design and development of complex backend systems and services (primarily Clojure) central to the product
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align systems with business goals
- Drive architectural decisions and unblock cross-team initiatives as a technical leader
- Set the quality bar: clean, well-tested, documented code and strong engineering standards
- Run thoughtful code reviews and strengthen feedback culture
- Identify technical and process improvements, modernize and optimize the stack
- Foster collaboration, curiosity, and accountability in a fast-moving remote environment
What You Need
- 8+ years professional software engineering experience with significant Clojure expertise
- Full-stack experience (ClojureScript or other frontend tech is a plus)
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives end to end
- Strong debugging, incident response, and observability instincts
- Track record of mentorship and leveling up teams
- Comfortable with ambiguity and creating clarity
- Strong remote communication skills, including documentation and diagrams

Pay
- $180,000–$225,000 base salary
