What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions using foundation models and orchestration methods (RAG, agents, multi-call prompting)
- Develop scalable ML pipelines and platform components for experimentation, fine-tuning, training, and production deployment
- Partner cross-functionally to prototype and productionize AI features (personalization, care routing, decision support, summarization)
- Drive architecture decisions and establish best practices for AI/ML coding, evaluation, and safety
- Mentor engineers and data scientists and elevate AI fluency across teams
- Explore emerging LLM/AI technologies and apply what improves platform outcomes
What You Need
- 8+ years experience in backend/platform engineering and AI/ML products or systems
- Strong applied AI experience (RAG, agents, vector search/orchestration) or deep data science lifecycle experience (messy data → model impact)
- Experience integrating foundation models via platforms like OpenAI, Vertex AI, or similar
- Fluency in Python plus backend/platform engineering in another language (Go, Java, etc.)
- Knowledge of cloud-native systems (containerization, orchestration, distributed systems) and operationalizing ML in production
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, model evaluation, and end-to-end deployment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or equivalent experience
