Schedule

  • Full-time, remote (U.S.)
  • High-impact senior engineering leadership role spanning architecture, scaling, and platform strategy
  • Salary range: $180,000–$220,000 DOE

What You’ll Do

  • Drive architecture and long-term technical vision for major platform components
  • Lead engineering on complex, cross-team initiatives with scalability and reliability in mind
  • Mentor senior engineers and elevate engineering standards across teams
  • Direct technical resolution during high-priority incidents; lead root-cause analysis and long-term fixes
  • Write RFCs, system designs, and architecture docs to align engineering org around key decisions
  • Champion improvements to tools, processes, testing, and developer efficiency
  • Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to shape roadmap and anticipate scale and performance needs

What You Need

  • Deep experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems (AWS preferred)
  • Strong command of core tech areas: Ruby/Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP
  • Track record of architecting scalable, resilient systems and mentoring senior engineers
  • Expertise with relational DBs (MySQL/Postgres) and queue systems (SQS) in production environments
  • Proven ability to lead large, complex technical projects from concept to rollout
  • Strong communicator who can translate complexity across tech & business stakeholders
  • BS in CS or equivalent experience
