What You’ll Do
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, cost-effective enterprise infrastructure across on-prem and cloud
- Administer cloud and identity services, including:
- Azure/AWS (compute, storage, networking, IAM)
- Azure Active Directory/Entra ID
- SSO/MFA, conditional access, identity governance
- Improve security posture through system hardening, patching at scale, and management of certificates/keys/secrets
- Ensure privileged-user practices align with internal standards and audit requirements
- Partner with Security and external partners to remediate findings, tune detections, and prepare for assessments/pen tests
- Own core services end-to-end, including:
- AD/DNS/DHCP
- Virtualization
- File/print
- Backup/DR
- Email/M365
- Endpoint management
- Support networking initiatives with NetOps, including L2/L3 troubleshooting, VLAN/subnet design, firewall/NGFW policies, VPN, and zero-trust segmentation
- Design and test HA/DR strategies, run tabletop exercises, and meet RTO/RPO targets
- Maintain documentation, diagrams, SOPs, and recovery playbooks
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance and reviews
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (or related field)
- 7–10+ years in systems engineering/infrastructure roles supporting production environments
- Expert Windows Server knowledge (AD, Group Policy, PKI) and solid Linux proficiency (systemd, SELinux/AppArmor, package management)
- Hands-on virtualization experience (VMware vSphere/ESXi or Hyper-V) plus enterprise storage/backup solutions
- Proven administration of Azure/AWS and M365/Exchange Online (identity, security baselines, cost governance)
- Strong automation skills (PowerShell, Bash) and experience with IaC/config-management tools (Terraform, Ansible, DSC)
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, VPN, routing/switching, load balancers, firewalls)
- Track record delivering secure architectures, patch management at scale, and compliance alignment to internal standards
- Strong troubleshooting, incident response, and stakeholder communication skills under pressure
