This is a hands-on, execution-heavy IT role for someone who can take infrastructure projects from plan to rollout without the wheels falling off. You’ll lead practice integrations, network refreshes, hardware deployments, and ISP coordination across multi-site oncology locations.

- Full-time
- 6-month contract-to-hire
- Hybrid/on-site in Nashville, TN or fully remote for the right candidate
- Up to 50% travel across the continental U.S.
What You’ll Do
- Lead planning and execution of IT infrastructure projects across practice networks
- Drive new practice IT integrations and onboarding, ensuring infrastructure readiness
- Plan and execute network refresh and optimization initiatives at existing locations
- Oversee server and hardware installations including switches, firewalls, and endpoints
- Manage telecom and ISP setup, quotes, procurement, scheduling, and migrations
- Translate project goals into actionable engineering tasks with timelines and deliverables
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and field support to deliver multi-site deployments
- Serve as the technical lead during practice integrations, coordinating on-site and remote configuration work
- Ensure compatibility and readiness of clinical and corporate IT systems during onboarding
- Partner with the IT Project Analyst to align technical deliverables with project milestones
- Participate in cross-team meetings across Support, Networking, Applications, and Data teams
- Improve deployment templates, playbooks, and technical documentation
- Provide clear status updates on tasks, blockers, resource needs, and handoffs
- Document configurations, change logs, and operational transitions for ongoing support
- Contribute to process improvements that strengthen IT execution practices
What You Need
- 8+ years of IT engineering experience across system administration, networking, and server deployment
- 5+ years of hands-on IT project execution or engineering delivery experience
- Proven experience deploying infrastructure components (switches, servers, firewalls, endpoints)
- Strong coordination skills across teams and vendors in multi-site environments
- Familiarity with project planning tools and documentation standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting healthcare practice integrations or multi-site IT rollouts
- Background in networking, system administration, or field engineering
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects
- Comfort working in an agile, remote-friendly IT environment
- MSP experience (preferred)
- Certifications like Network+, CCNA, or MCSA (a plus)
