What You’ll Do

  • Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large datasets from multiple sources
  • Tune performance using partitioning, clustering, and other optimization best practices to reduce query costs
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance frameworks, and security policies
  • Develop and optimize data models and schemas for analytics, reporting, and machine learning
  • Partner with analysts and data scientists to integrate datasets with BI tools and ML workflows
  • Document pipelines, workflows, and processes; share best practices and mentor junior engineers
  • Design and architect data infrastructure for analytical workloads

What You Need

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong Python skills (especially building ETL pipelines)
  • Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries
  • Familiarity with pySpark, dbt, or similar frameworks
  • Experience deploying data pipelines in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data marts
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
