What You’ll Do
- Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large datasets from multiple sources
- Tune performance using partitioning, clustering, and other optimization best practices to reduce query costs
- Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance frameworks, and security policies
- Develop and optimize data models and schemas for analytics, reporting, and machine learning
- Partner with analysts and data scientists to integrate datasets with BI tools and ML workflows
- Document pipelines, workflows, and processes; share best practices and mentor junior engineers
- Design and architect data infrastructure for analytical workloads
What You Need
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong Python skills (especially building ETL pipelines)
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries
- Familiarity with pySpark, dbt, or similar frameworks
- Experience deploying data pipelines in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data marts
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
