What You’ll Do

  • Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large datasets from multiple sources
  • Optimize performance and reduce costs through tuning, partitioning, clustering, and best-practice engineering
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance frameworks, and security policies
  • Develop and optimize data models and schemas for analytics, reporting, and machine learning needs
  • Integrate datasets with BI tools and ML workflows in partnership with analysts and data scientists
  • Document pipelines, workflows, and processes and share best practices across the team
  • Mentor junior data engineers and help elevate overall engineering standards
  • Design and architect data infrastructure to support analytical workloads

What You Need

  • 5+ years of applicable work experience
  • Strong Python experience building ETL pipelines
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex query development
  • Familiarity with PySpark, dbt, or similar frameworks
  • Experience deploying data pipelines in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and building data marts
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner across technical and business stakeholders
  • College degree or certification in a related field
