What You’ll Do
- Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large datasets from multiple sources
- Optimize performance and reduce costs through tuning, partitioning, clustering, and best-practice engineering
- Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance frameworks, and security policies
- Develop and optimize data models and schemas for analytics, reporting, and machine learning needs
- Integrate datasets with BI tools and ML workflows in partnership with analysts and data scientists
- Document pipelines, workflows, and processes and share best practices across the team
- Mentor junior data engineers and help elevate overall engineering standards
- Design and architect data infrastructure to support analytical workloads
What You Need
- 5+ years of applicable work experience
- Strong Python experience building ETL pipelines
- Strong SQL skills, including complex query development
- Familiarity with PySpark, dbt, or similar frameworks
- Experience deploying data pipelines in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and building data marts
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner across technical and business stakeholders
- College degree or certification in a related field

- Pay range: $83,430–$222,480/year (based on experience, location, and other factors)
