What You’ll Do
- Optimize the highest priority stored procedures based on runtime and execution frequency (Phase 1 priority)
- Validate improvements in QA/UAT before production rollout
- Optimize high-impact reporting views after stored procedures are addressed
- Improve performance and reliability of the CRM sync process between transactional databases and the CRM system
- Produce documented before/after performance metrics for every change
- Submit optimizations for review by the Software Development Manager and Team Lead
- Document all changes and store them in GitHub/Azure DevOps repositories
- Provide recommendations for next steps after key optimizations land
What You Need
- Senior-level SQL Server development experience with heavy focus on performance tuning and query optimization
- Experience working in enterprise-scale SQL Server environments hosted on AWS
- Comfortable operating inside structured review + deployment processes (Dev/QA/UAT/Prod)
- Strong documentation discipline (metrics, change notes, recommendations)
- Ability to collaborate closely with internal leads while working independently (DBA is intentionally not in the day-to-day)
