What You’ll Do
- Provide technical input on architecture for strategic projects, aligned to Navitus enterprise standards (with guidance from a Senior Solutions Architect)
- Help create target-state architectures, roadmaps, and solution designs that connect business goals to engineering reality
- Work with stakeholders to understand current processes and translate them into technical specs and improvement opportunities
- Evaluate emerging technologies, standards, and design patterns with other architects to support successful delivery
- Promote and reinforce coding standards and architecture best practices across delivery teams
- Support new feature work by shaping scalable solutions and providing technical guidance through implementation
- Help estimate effort, assess feasibility, and identify risks/dependencies for key features
- Track delivery progress and escalate issues that threaten timeline or quality
What You Need
- Bachelor’s in CS/IS/Software Engineering (or equivalent architecture/development experience)
- 8+ years in architecture or software development
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate+ (preferred)
- Strong AWS build/deploy experience with services like Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS/SNS, RDS, ECS
- Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK (required)
- CI/CD and DevOps automation for build, deploy, and monitoring (required)
- Experience designing cross-platform architectures integrating cloud and on-prem systems (required)
- Experience building scalable, high-performance, highly available apps (required)
- Strong SDLC understanding (required)
- SQL + data architecture: database design, optimization, performance tuning (required)
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and guide developers through implementation
- Experience with modern platforms/tech (required): Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, Kafka, and/or microservices
- Advanced experience with multiple modern languages (required): C#, React, Python
- Scrum/Agile experience (preferred)
- Healthcare integrations (preferred): EDI X12, NCPDP, HL7/FHIR + HIPAA/CMS security standards
- PBM/claims adjudication experience (preferred)

Pay Range: $105,271 – $131,588/yr (plus 5% at-risk bonus eligibility).
Real talk: this isn’t an “entry architect” role. If someone doesn’t have legit AWS + CDK + CI/CD chops and can’t guide devs through implementation, they’ll drown. But if they do, this is a strong remote architecture lane with real influence.
