What You’ll Do
- Build and refine game systems within our flagship Roblox title, Splash Music & Skate
- Own projects across the stack—from gameplay mechanics to infrastructure and tools
- Develop SDKs, pipelines, and backend systems for cross-platform integration
- Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and content teams
- Apply both software engineering discipline and game design creativity
- Support performance, scalability, and long-term game growth
- Ship features from prototype to launch with polish, iteration, and player empathy
- Tackle legacy systems while helping modernize and scale the codebase
What You Need
- 3+ years experience as a software engineer, ideally in game dev environments
- Shipped games, apps, or digital products
- Strong generalist coding skills (Lua, Unity, Unreal, or similar)
- Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, testing, and agile delivery
- Ability to balance rapid prototyping with clean code and long-term maintenance
- Excellent communication skills across product and engineering teams
- Comfortable working across time zones and with remote collaboration tools
- Working rights in Australia or flexible timezone overlap
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Roblox Studio and Lua
- Passion for music creation, rhythm-based games, or creator platforms
- Background in both frontend gameplay and backend systems
