What You’ll Do

  • Build and refine game systems within our flagship Roblox title, Splash Music & Skate
  • Own projects across the stack—from gameplay mechanics to infrastructure and tools
  • Develop SDKs, pipelines, and backend systems for cross-platform integration
  • Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and content teams
  • Apply both software engineering discipline and game design creativity
  • Support performance, scalability, and long-term game growth
  • Ship features from prototype to launch with polish, iteration, and player empathy
  • Tackle legacy systems while helping modernize and scale the codebase

What You Need

  • 3+ years experience as a software engineer, ideally in game dev environments
  • Shipped games, apps, or digital products
  • Strong generalist coding skills (Lua, Unity, Unreal, or similar)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, testing, and agile delivery
  • Ability to balance rapid prototyping with clean code and long-term maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills across product and engineering teams
  • Comfortable working across time zones and with remote collaboration tools
  • Working rights in Australia or flexible timezone overlap

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Roblox Studio and Lua
  • Passion for music creation, rhythm-based games, or creator platforms
  • Background in both frontend gameplay and backend systems
