Maximus Technology and Consulting Services (TCS) supports government clients with technology delivery, modernization, and secure systems development. This role focuses on front-end engineering and UI/UX design support, including wireframes, mockups, and GUI enhancements. You’ll collaborate with PMO and stakeholders to improve usability and deliver compliant, testable solutions.

- Occasional paid travel may be required to client sites in San Antonio, TX or Baltimore, MD

What You’ll Do
- Design and develop front-end features and UI components for user-facing applications
- Create technical design drawings, mockups, and wireframes for stakeholder and PMO review
- Plan and implement modifications to graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to improve usability and navigation
- Build and optimize UI elements for performance and user experience
- Support requirements analysis, process improvement studies, and functional architecture development
- Participate in Agile, user-centric design practices and contribute to best-in-class UI/UX standards
- Conduct and document systems tests to verify operability and compliance with project standards
- Use bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) to manage defects and support continuous improvement
- Contribute to DevSecOps workflows using CI/CD pipelines and modern tooling
- Work in cloud and containerized environments (Kubernetes/Docker)
- Support application deployments that integrate data between unclassified and classified environments
What You Need
- Active Secret clearance or higher (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (master’s may substitute for 2 years of experience)
- 7 years of software development experience using object-oriented and scripted languages
- 3+ years of experience with:
- Jira (bug tracking)
- Testing web-based applications
- Participating in software development programs/projects
- TypeScript with Angular or React
- Front-end web design and development (recent/relevant)
- Practical experience developing in cloud environments
- Practical experience developing in containerized environments (Kubernetes or Docker)
- 5+ years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab
- Experience preparing, conducting, and documenting systems tests and results
- Experience generating wireframes/mockups for multiple user personas
- Experience using UX design tool suites (e.g., Sketch, InVision)
- Experience with at least five of the following tools:
- NPM
- Cypress.io
- esbuild
- Bun
- Apache Tomcat
- Maven
- SonarQube
