What You’ll Do
- Lead business-critical engineering initiatives supporting Babylist’s media, monetization, and advertising partnerships
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, and stakeholders to design, implement, and deploy systems that scale the media business
- Improve and maintain existing systems, including increasing test coverage and reducing unnecessary code and friction
- Provide thought leadership on process, tooling, architecture, and system design to improve how the team ships
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, architecture planning, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing
- Help run and support production systems through testing, monitoring, and ongoing reliability improvements
What You Need
- 6+ years of experience delivering end-to-end software solutions that drive business growth
- Strong full-stack engineering skills with modern web stacks (React + Rails, Python/Django, Node/Express, or similar)
- Willingness and enthusiasm to work with Ruby on Rails (Babylist’s core stack)
- Experience testing, monitoring, and running production systems
- Strong attention to detail and a habit of improving team execution and processes
- Comfort working in a fast-growing environment and leading high-impact projects
- E-commerce, consumer growth marketing, or adtech experience (nice to have)
