- Remote, US-based role with occasional travel to Mississauga or Salt Lake City offices for onboarding and team events

What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices for data platforms
- Develop clean, efficient code that scales across distributed systems
- Build and manage large-scale data pipelines with tools like Apache Hudi and Trino
- Work with distributed storage systems (HDFS, S3) and big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark)
- Debug, test, and validate software with test-driven practices
- Write RESTful API endpoints and integrate with SaaS applications
- Automate tasks with scripting languages (Python, etc.)
- Collaborate with teams to improve system reliability, performance, and monitoring
- Stay current with emerging big data, AI, and distributed computing technologies
What You Need
- 7+ years of professional software development experience (5+ years with Java/Spring Boot microservices)
- Experience coding in Java, Kotlin, C#, or Go at scale
- Expertise with distributed systems and big data processing tools (Apache Hudi, Trino, MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark)
- Familiarity with distributed storage (HDFS, S3) and data partitioning/sharding techniques
- Proficiency in Python scripting and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL)
- Strong experience with REST APIs, Git, and TDD practices
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (New Relic, DataDog)
- Experience with AI integration and SaaS application development
- Bonus: experience with agentic AI components
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and collaboration skills
Compensation
- $139,000 – $150,000 annually
