What You’ll Do
- Design and implement a self-service infrastructure platform for application resource provisioning
- Build scalable, secure, and reliable compute infrastructure that improves developer experience
- Partner with engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver platform capabilities from the ground up
- Lead implementation that enables teams to deploy code safely, quickly, and easily
- Automate repetitive work and remove developer friction through tooling and platform improvements
- Participate in peer code reviews and raise code quality across the team
- Approach platform work with a performance lens and help teams identify bottlenecks
- Mentor and coach mid to early career engineers; share learnings across the engineering org
What You Need
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 3+ years managing and provisioning Kubernetes clusters in production
- 3+ years with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio) for traffic management, security, and observability
- 3+ years managing cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure), including compute, networking, IAM, and storage
- Experience managing TLS certificates, including automated renewal and Kubernetes integration
- Hands-on experience deploying Kubernetes applications using Helm
- Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, ingress, firewalls, VPN)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with architecture and product partners
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
