What You’ll Do
- Define and maintain SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for critical services
- Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and availability reviews with product and engineering teams
- Run Game Day exercises and disaster recovery tests to validate resilience
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, patching, and runtime hygiene using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines
- Build tooling that enforces compliance standards (SOC2, CIS benchmarks) across environments
- Act as Tier 2 escalation during incidents and lead deep dives and root cause analysis
- Improve playbooks, on-call practices, and postmortems to reduce MTTD and MTTR
- Embed security best practices (IMDSv2, hardened images, secret rotation) and maintain least-privileged IAM and audit readiness
- Identify sources of toil and drive automation through platform blueprints and self-service modules
- Track, publish, and use reliability metrics to guide iterative improvements and reduce operational risk
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineering roles
- Strong AWS experience (multi-account), plus Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipeline)
- Observability experience (New Relic, CloudWatch)
- Container background and resilient architecture experience (ECS/Fargate/EKS)
