This is a build-it-from-scratch SRE/platform role for a “greenfield” enterprise team creating a private/consortium distributed ledger platform for regulated industries (finance, healthcare, supply chain). Translation: multi-region, high-security infrastructure with real ownership. Not pager jockey support.

MLabs is hiring for a high-growth org supporting an open-source, EVM-compatible ledger ecosystem and an enterprise-focused platform. This role sits on the enterprise/private ledger side, where privacy/compliance matter a lot.
Schedule
- Remote (US). Also open to Europe if you can overlap with EST.

What You’ll Do
- Design and operate highly available multi-region systems with clear DR targets (RTO/RPO)
- Own Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform (reusable modules, multi-account patterns, policy guardrails)
- Run Kubernetes at scale (EKS/GKE/AKS), using GitOps (ArgoCD), Helm, and strict network policies
- Build secure CI/CD: blue/green + canary, automated rollbacks, artifact signing, SBOM
- Define/drive SRE practices: SLOs, error budgets, observability, reduce MTTR
- Partner with Head of SRE + VP Eng to translate business requirements into secure platform services
What You Need
- 7+ years in SRE/Platform/Infrastructure engineering running production distributed systems
- Deep AWS or GCP expertise, multi-region + disaster recovery testing
- Kubernetes at scale + GitOps workflows + production security controls
- Strong security mindset: Zero Trust, secrets management (Vault), compliance frameworks (SOC 2 / HIPAA / NIST)
- Terraform-first in real, large-scale environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with distributed ledger tech/blockchain, especially private/consortium deployments
- Familiarity with EVM ecosystems and smart contract tooling (Solidity, Hardhat)
- Active-active globally distributed architectures
- Regulated industry experience (financial services especially)
