- Standard business hours with project driven deadlines and collaboration across product, dev, and DevOps teams
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated test strategies using Cypress and Cucumber BDD
- Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks that plug into CI/CD pipelines
- Drive best practices in test automation, covering functional, regression, integration, and end to end testing
- Mentor junior QA engineers by reviewing test scripts, sharing patterns, and standardizing automation approaches
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps to integrate automated tests throughout the SDLC
- Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to increase test coverage, reliability, and speed
- Perform performance and basic security testing to uncover bottlenecks and vulnerabilities
- Design test cases and test data for complex application flows and edge cases
- Analyze automation results, troubleshoot failures, and provide clear root cause analysis and recommendations
- Contribute quality and risk insights to product roadmaps and release planning
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Around 5 or more years of experience in QA automation, SDET, or software engineering with a strong testing focus
- Hands on experience with Cypress and Cucumber BDD or similar modern UI/API automation tools
- Solid functional knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, automation patterns, and best practices
- Basic database concepts for SQL or NoSQL systems and ability to validate data through queries
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and working within sprint based teams
- Comfortable presenting findings to management and responding to technical and business inquiries
- Any certifications related to test automation tools or Agile methodologies are a plus
