What You’ll Do
- Lead enterprise-level data science, AI/ML, automation, and analytics projects from scoping through delivery
- Own project plans, timelines, budgets, and status updates across credit risk, operations, customer insights, and emerging AI use cases
- Act as senior project manager on credit-focused initiatives while also overseeing non-credit and innovation projects
- Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables with stakeholders across business, credit, finance, IT, and operations
- Prioritize and manage the full Decision Science project portfolio to align with strategic objectives
- Mentor and support Decision Science teammates, helping grow project discipline, technical execution, and career development
- Communicate project progress, risks, and business impact to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
- Identify roadblocks early, propose mitigation strategies, and keep work moving forward
- Champion best practices in data science project management, governance, documentation, and continuous improvement
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, business management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
- 4+ years of project management experience in data-driven environments; consumer lending/finance experience strongly preferred
- Hands-on familiarity with statistical programming tools such as R, Python, and SQL
- Knowledge of development and design software/tools used in analytics and data science environments
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from kickoff to delivery
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical teams and business leaders
- Ability to juggle multiple initiatives, manage competing priorities, and keep teams aligned and accountable
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can shift
