- Remote (United States)
- Core collaboration hours: 12 PM to 5 PM ET
- Product teams ship 20+ production deploys/week (trunk-based development)
- Scrumban-style 2-week sprints
- Candidates within a 75-minute commute of the NYC office: onsite 4 days/week
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain core services and libraries in Python, TypeScript, and Golang
- Architect, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terragrunt and OpenTofu (Terraform)
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions to streamline deployments
- Automate provisioning, monitoring, and scaling using Bash, Golang, and Python
- Implement security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines (IAM, networking, HIPAA controls)
- Partner with product engineering to deliver new platform capabilities
- Improve reliability, scalability, observability, security, and cost-efficiency across services
- Break down initiatives into clear milestones and deliver incremental value
- Mentor engineers and improve architecture and processes across the org
- Improve developer velocity by abstracting common patterns and acting on engineering feedback
- Participate in on-call rotations to maintain availability and resolve incidents
What You Need
- 3+ years in Platform, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering
- 2+ years writing production-level backend code
- 2+ years hands-on AWS (ECS Fargate, Lambda, S3, Aurora, SQS, EventBridge, EC2, ECR, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python, Golang, or TypeScript
- Strong proficiency with Terraform/OpenTofu (IaC)
- CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
- Strong understanding of Docker and orchestration tools
- Observability experience (Datadog, Honeycomb, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Sumo Logic, OpsGenie)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems
- On-call experience resolving critical infrastructure and application issues
- Strong communication and problem-solving in a fast-paced startup environment
Benefits
- Comprehensive benefits for full-time, exempt employees
- Target base compensation: $150,000–$215,000 per year
