This is a senior-level Oracle DBA role supporting business-critical apps across production and non-production. You’ll own availability, RAC installs/config, backups (RMAN), patching, security controls, and high availability (Data Guard). Expect real responsibility and 24/7 on-call.

What You’ll Do
- Ensure Oracle database availability and stability
- Administer Oracle DBs on RHEL and Windows
- Install/configure Oracle 12c/19c/21c RAC (multi-node)
- Configure and maintain Oracle Cloud Control (13c+)
- Perform database upgrades and version migrations
- Build and manage a reliable backup strategy (ensure backups execute correctly)
- Apply Oracle patches (security + bug fixes) in non-prod and prod
- Implement security measures (SSL + encryption) and maintain controls
- Develop/support maintenance scripts and documentation
- Configure Active Data Guard and automatic failover via Data Guard Broker
- Configure container and pluggable databases (CDB/PDB)
What You Need
- 5+ years Oracle DBA experience (strong focus on Oracle 19c)
- Oracle Cloud Control 13c+ experience
- Linux OS experience (plus RHEL specifically mentioned)
- 3+ years Oracle GoldenGate
- 3+ years Oracle RAC administration
- Strong experience with: Data Guard/Active Data Guard, RMAN, Data Loader
- Experience administering databases on Exadata and Azure
- Oracle Partitioning knowledge
- Strong Unix scripting
- Strong troubleshooting + communication skills, able to own issues end-to-end

Quick reality check (because this matters): for “Senior Oracle DBA” with RAC + GoldenGate + Exadata + Azure + 24/7 on-call, that pay band is on the low side in a lot of markets. Not a deal-breaker if you’re using it as a stepping stone or you already have the stack and want stability, but don’t walk in underpriced.
