Skylight is looking for a frontend heavy-hitter who can ship polished React and React Native experiences that feel effortless for real families. You’ll own meaningful user-facing work end-to-end, from early design/product exploration through app store releases, with the autonomy to shape both architecture and execution.

Schedule
- Remote (U.S.)
- Full-time
- Senior or Staff level (scope, title, and comp aligned to experience and team needs)
- Cross-functional collaboration with Product and Design; release ownership across iOS and Android
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to scope and build new features
- Write high-quality, reusable, maintainable code in React and React Native (TypeScript)
- Build and maintain automated tests to ensure stability and long-term quality
- Optimize performance and continuously improve the user experience
- Implement best practices in build and deployment processes
- Ensure the frontend architecture scales with both the team and the user base
- Establish processes for monitoring performance, device logs, and exceptions
- Mentor other frontend engineers and help raise the bar through feedback and code reviews
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive guidance to improve quality across the team
What You Need
- 5+ years of React Native + TypeScript experience
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture and design patterns
- Expertise in the release management cycle (including app store releases)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to collaborate across teams and move work forward in a fast-paced environment
- Curiosity and a habit of staying current with tools and best practices
