GovCIO is hiring a Senior Developer with deep Microsoft expertise to support the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In this fully remote role, you’ll develop and maintain specialized Microsoft tools with a focus on document parsing and management—critical to USPTO’s mission.

Schedule

  • Full-time, remote within the United States
  • Public Trust clearance required
  • Agile team environment with 2-week sprint cycles

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET 8+, C#, and PostgreSQL
  • Parse and manipulate Word documents using the Open Office XML standard (OOXML)
  • Build and debug code within Linux containers using Docker and Git
  • Collaborate in agile sprint cycles, participating in code reviews and team planning
  • Write and update technical documentation, user guides, and operational procedures

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science with 10+ years of experience (or Master’s with 5+ years)
  • 5+ years of .NET and C# development
  • Strong skills in XSLT, PostgreSQL, Linux, Visual Studio, Docker, and Git
  • Familiarity with OOXML (academic or professional experience)

Preferred Skills

  • XML4IP experience (considered a strong plus)
