- Work closely with vendor partners, internal teams, and multiple client environments
What You’ll Do
- Perform mainframe IMS database software upgrades, administration, and tuning.
- Manage daily database tasks: backups, restores, reorganizations, DR procedures, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot production database issues and provide timely solutions.
- Conduct database optimization, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Support disaster recovery activities (planned and unplanned).
- Develop policies, procedures, and best practices for IMS systems programming.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of IMS administration and systems programming support.
- Strong knowledge of IMS database organization (VSAM, OSAM, HSAM, HISAM, HDAM, HIDAM, HALDB, DEDBs, and more).
- Expertise in database design, coding (DBDGEN, PSBGEN, ACBGEN), and IMS utilities.
- Experience with disaster recovery, database recovery utilities, and DBRC.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring, tracing, and analysis tools (IMS logs, DFSERA10, IBM IMS Performance Analyzer).
- Ability to support multiple clients and respond quickly to urgent database requests.

Salary range: $95,000–$148,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility and equity appreciation program.
