What You’ll Do

  • Lead deployment, configuration, and integration of core security systems and processes such as patch management and MFA
  • Establish initial alerting, reporting, and dashboarding within security platforms to create operational visibility
  • Own and execute the new Security Incident Response process as the primary technical responder for security alerts
  • Perform initial analysis, containment, and log correlation during security events
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and runbooks for newly implemented security systems
  • Partner with IT Engineering to implement baseline security configurations and hardening across endpoints (Windows, macOS, Linux) and cloud platforms (GCP and/or Azure)
  • Create and maintain security tool documentation, architecture diagrams, and configuration guides
  • Provide expert guidance to IT Engineering on integrating security controls into network and system architecture

What You Need

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in IT security engineering or security operations delivering measurable security improvements
  • Deep technical skill installing, managing, and troubleshooting IT applications and security configurations
  • Strong background supporting security in IT infrastructure, including:
    • Network security fundamentals
    • Security configuration for Windows, macOS, and Linux
    • Familiarity with foundational security controls in GCP and/or Azure
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly, follow implementation plans, and execute incident response steps methodically
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with IT Engineering during system deployments
