- Pay range: $100,000–$130,000/year
- Remote employees must reside in: AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI
- Final in-person interview may be required
What You’ll Do
- Lead design and development of front-end web architectures powered by middleware pulling from back-end sources
- Lead development across the stack using technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, GraphQL, MERN, NestJS, Redis, SQL, Kafka, Jest, and RESTful APIs
- Grow the development practice through hands-on coding, code reviews, and serving as a technical bridge across the team
- Dig into complex areas of the system and solve problems when in-house knowledge gaps appear
- Drive test-driven development and strong unit testing practices across the team
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define, design, and ship new features
- Apply security best practices to protect customer and company data
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to product roadmaps for internal and 3rd-party systems
- Design scalable, performance-optimized web applications
- Use agile methods and tools like Jira to hit sprint goals
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of development experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) across front end, middleware, and/or back end
- Experience working in modern JavaScript/TypeScript web stacks and building scalable applications
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with a leadership mindset
- Technical certifications (Amazon, Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, or related) are a plus
