Schedule
- Full-time, Remote role
- Collaborate with a small, high-performing data and software engineering team
- On-call responsibilities 3–9% of the year
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems
- Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and ensure data quality
- Implement data lakes, warehouses, and models for analysis and reporting
- Ingest and process healthcare data (CCDAs, 837s, FHIR APIs, HL7, etc.)
- Document systems, processes, and architecture for knowledge sharing
- Optimize data systems for performance and security
- Implement observability, monitoring, and data quality controls
- Mentor peers through design sessions, code reviews, and collaborative programming
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role
- 2+ years in healthcare or value-based care (VBC) data engineering
- Strong expertise in SQL, Python, data modeling, and data warehousing
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, and orchestration tools (Airflow)
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services
- Strong understanding of healthcare data integrations and interoperability standards
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Tuva, Epic, NextGen, Athena, or ECW EHR integrations
- Exposure to Clinical Decision Support tools and workflows
- Startup experience in healthcare or value-based care organizations
