What You’ll Do

  • Own the analytical roadmap for Product, Design, and Engineering by translating company OKRs into a concrete product data strategy
  • Proactively identify friction in the user journey, such as feature drop-off, and surface actionable solutions
  • Define the metrics framework by establishing a consistent source of truth for product success
  • Build KPIs and dashboards in Hex or Looker that leadership can trust for feature performance decisions
  • Lead causal impact work by designing and executing complex A/B tests and causal inference models in Python
  • Run end-to-end analytical projects from ideation through maintenance, spanning months when needed
  • Distill statistical findings into clear narratives for senior leaders to drive trade-offs across speed, quality, and technical debt
  • Mentor analysts, deliver trusted code reviews, and improve team tools and processes to increase velocity
  • Validate insights against real-world operations by digging into on-the-ground workflows and questioning metrics when they don’t match reality

What You Need

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior data analyst or data science role focused on product problems
  • Quantitative background in Math, Statistics, Engineering, or Behavioral Science
  • Strong ability to operate as a business owner and strategic partner, not a ticket-taker
  • Experience designing KPIs, metrics frameworks, and dashboards (Hex or Looker)
  • Strong Python skills for experimentation, causal inference, and statistical modeling
  • Ability to choose the simplest effective tool for the job, including leveraging automation and LLMs to eliminate repetitive work
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills and confidence presenting to VPs and Directors
  • Ability to move fast with sound statistical intuition and iterate toward better answers
