  • Build automation/frameworks to speed up onboarding new databases into the data platform
  • Partner with data analysts, app developers, and DevOps to keep data available and accurate across systems
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and recovery for large-scale data movement pipelines
  • Optimize AWS DMS configs, Redshift performance, and SQL Server CDC processes for throughput and efficiency
  • Manage and tune replication strategies for high volume and concurrency
  • Support compliance with data security, privacy, and healthcare standards
  • Document architecture, workflows, configs, and SOPs

What You Need

  • 5+ years in data engineering/data platform work in large-scale, distributed environments
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server expertise (CDC, replication, performance tuning, query optimization)
  • Strong AWS data services experience (DMS, Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, CloudWatch)
  • ETL/ELT pipeline experience at scale (DBT mentioned)
  • Python (or similar scripting) for automation and transformations
  • Infrastructure as Code familiarity (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD practices
