What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, cost-efficient data pipelines (batch and streaming)
  • Build and maintain ingestion and export workflows with strong data quality, observability, and production reliability
  • Partner with data platform and backend teams to evolve scalable, secure, fault-tolerant data architecture
  • Drive technical design reviews and mentor on engineering best practices, data architecture, and coding standards
  • Collaborate with product and service engineering teams to shape and model source datasets aligned to a unified data vision
  • Track and evaluate emerging tools and frameworks to inform architecture decisions and drive innovation

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering or backend systems development building scalable, reliable data solutions
  • Strong SQL skills for transformation/ETL and analysis
  • Deep experience with data modeling in large-scale data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and understanding design tradeoffs
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Go, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with a workflow orchestration tool (e.g., Apache Airflow)
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills (product, analytics, operations)
  • Product-oriented mindset focused on maintainable solutions tied to real business needs
  • Experience leading design reviews and setting engineering standards/architecture direction
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
