What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, cost-efficient data pipelines (batch and streaming)
- Build and maintain ingestion and export workflows with strong data quality, observability, and production reliability
- Partner with data platform and backend teams to evolve scalable, secure, fault-tolerant data architecture
- Drive technical design reviews and mentor on engineering best practices, data architecture, and coding standards
- Collaborate with product and service engineering teams to shape and model source datasets aligned to a unified data vision
- Track and evaluate emerging tools and frameworks to inform architecture decisions and drive innovation
What You Need
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering or backend systems development building scalable, reliable data solutions
- Strong SQL skills for transformation/ETL and analysis
- Deep experience with data modeling in large-scale data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and understanding design tradeoffs
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Go, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with a workflow orchestration tool (e.g., Apache Airflow)
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills (product, analytics, operations)
- Product-oriented mindset focused on maintainable solutions tied to real business needs
- Experience leading design reviews and setting engineering standards/architecture direction
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
