Remote (U.S.). This role partners closely with FP&A, Partnerships, Product, and Data Engineering to deliver scalable analytics, automated reporting, and business-ready insights. Salary range varies by location, with the listed U.S. range below.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform ad hoc analysis to identify trends and root causes across 8am’s product ecosystem
  • Partner with Data Engineering to automate data transformations and build scalable workflows and models
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Partnerships, and Product to convert data into actionable insights
  • Own the full data lifecycle, including collection, measurement, analysis, interpretation, and presentation
  • Translate and summarize data into decision-ready formats for stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Build rich, interactive visualizations and dashboards to support data-driven decisions
  • Communicate insights through clear written summaries, presentations, and data storytelling for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Analyze historical performance, define best practices, and identify optimization opportunities
  • Pull and combine internal and external data sources to create a complete view of key questions
  • Explore data for patterns, anomalies, relationships, and trends while juggling multiple projects and deadlines

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a quantitative field like Statistics, Business, Computer Science, or Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills for transformation and analysis
  • Strong Python experience for transforming, analyzing, and visualizing data
  • Experience using BI/visualization tools such as Tableau, Sigma, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with modern data stacks and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, or similar)
  • Experience using GenAI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to create interactive data tools
  • Exposure to experimentation, cohort analysis, or product usage analytics
  • 4+ years of experience in fintech, banking, payment processing, or related finance technology
  • 2+ years of experience in B2B SaaS or subscription-based businesses
  • Ability to scope ambiguous problems independently, structure analyses, and deliver actionable recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that balance technical depth with business clarity
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve workflows, decision-making, or innovation
