  • Expectation: Senior technical leadership, stakeholder alignment, and enterprise compliance in FAA environments

What You’ll Do

  • Lead enterprise-scale cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including hybrid integration in FAA environments
  • Create and maintain cloud strategy, governance, and architecture frameworks aligned to mission and enterprise standards
  • Design and implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and automation frameworks
  • Drive requirements analysis, architecture definition, and technical design reviews using strong systems engineering practices
  • Ensure compliance with federal security requirements (FedRAMP, FISMA) and NIST frameworks, plus FAA standards
  • Integrate CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins) into FAA development environments
  • Architect and support enterprise networking, including IPv6 adoption, IP address allocation, and firewall policy implementation
  • Provide security engineering support including Palo Alto firewall configuration and network security appliance integration
  • Implement and optimize observability and monitoring (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus) for performance and reliability
  • Conduct trade studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations to guide technical decisions
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and development teams while partnering with stakeholders across the program

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of systems engineering experience, including 5+ years in cloud architecture or cloud engineering
  • Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong experience with IaC and orchestration tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
  • Proficiency in cloud security and enterprise networking (IPv4/IPv6), IP management, and Palo Alto firewall engineering
  • Experience implementing federal security compliance requirements (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage technical teams and executive stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background check
