Schedule
- Full-time, remote
- Embedded with a sprint team as the primary quality advocate
- Owns test strategy, automation coverage, and quality metrics for the products you support
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain automated tests to expand coverage and speed up defect feedback loops
- Build and improve regression test suites with an automation-first mindset
- Own test strategy, planning, and execution within your sprint team
- Maintain and continuously improve test frameworks so they’re reliable, efficient, and easy to use
- Create test plans, test cases, and testing documentation
- Find, report, and track bugs through resolution with urgency
- Partner with Product to give quality-driven input that strengthens feature impact
- Share clear test results with Engineering and Product to keep progress and expectations aligned
- Create and maintain security and performance tests
- Build deep product knowledge across SmithRx systems
- Use AI tools like Playwright MCP, Claude, and Copilot to work faster and smarter
- Maintain and refine quality metrics to communicate overall product health
What You Need
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in QA and automation testing, with a proven track record of team leadership
- Proficiency in one: Python, TypeScript, Java, or JavaScript
- Experience writing automated API tests in a scripting or programming language
- Experience with API automation frameworks (Pytest or REST Assured)
- Experience with UI automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright)
- Familiarity with Page Object Model for UI automation
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins)
